Sarasota County Area Transit (SCAT) bus at the Sarasota bus station. The destination refers to one of the city's main thoroughfares. As with many smaller systems, buses run on "pulse schedules" meaning that most routes depart from the central station at the same time. This reduces waiting time for passengers transferring between routes.
